The Cyclones picked up their second 2014 commit in Dallas cornerback De'Monte Ruth. Ruth already has nice size for a corner at 5'11/170 and runs around a 4.6 40. Ruth surprisingly chose Iowa State, over an offer from Houston, without stepping foot in Ames. Ruth attends the same high school (Wimer-Hutchins) that current Cyclone Damien Lawry did. Lawry had a lot of kind words to say about ISU which convinced Ruth to commit this early and while he hasn't visited ISU yet, he plans to do so over the summer.
