QB William Crest Chooses West Virginia

William Crest (via 247Sports.com)
As many expected, William Crest pledged to be a West Virginia Mountaineer earlier today.  This is big get for Holgorsen and company as Crest was one of their top targets.  Crest, a 4-star prospect by most, had other offers from Maryland, Ohio State, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and more.  He led Dunbar High to state championships in both his sophomore and junior seasons.  Crest seems to fit the mold of a prototypical Holgorsen QB.  He has some size, can make plays with his legs, but are more known for being a pass-first QB.  To me, atleast, Crest and Geno Smith seems to have similar traits (not saying he ends up the caliber of Geno).  In the end, West Virginia got what they wanted and William Crest is now #2 for their 2014 class.
